We enjoy that fresh smell and shiny look of a brand new car. But as years go by, the vehicle loses its luster and starts to show wear and tear. The good thing is you can find an auto shop that could restore that appeal through auto detailing.
Price of Service
The price of auto detailing in Philippine auto shops starts from Php 1,700 to Php 10,000 and above. Each type of car may have a corresponding rate. I noticed that the size of the vehicle and its brand predicts the price.
Here is a price list of auto detailing based on service type.
- Basic Interior – Php 1700 to Php 2300
- Premium interior detailing – Php 2300 to Php 4000
- Basic exterior detailing – Php 2100 to Php 3000
- Premium exterior detailing – Php 4000 to Php 9000
Of course, these classifications are too general but I will also put the average prices based on the kind of service.
Here’s the average rate for each service that you may have on the checklist:
- Premium car wash – Php 140 to 160 (sedans)
- Seat cover removal and installation – Php 250 to Php 550
- Vacuum of interior – Php 50 to Php 130
- Sidings, dashboard cleaning – Php 1,000 to Php 1,300
- Leather parts cleaning and conditioning – Php 150 to Php 400 per seat
- Carpet cleaning and shampooing – Php 500 to Php 1,200
- Full interior detail – Php 3,800 to Php 5,300
- Wash with wax – Php 700 to Php 1,000
- Car paint correction and repair – Php 1,400 to Php 2,500
- Claying (to remove contaminants) – Php 600 to Php 900
- Glass and windshield polishing – Php 800 to Php 1,800
This list does not contain all of the available services in auto shops. As of last checking, I saw up to 50 types of custom made services for clients.
How Long Does It Take?
The auto detailing process will take from 4 hours to 2 days depending on your availed service. In my case, I had to leave the car for 4 hours. For thorough services, the attendant may just have to request you to return after a few days since this will involve deep cleaning of the seats.
Home Service
It is true that you can also find detailing shops offering home service. This is usually more expensive. You may need to add up to Php 1,500 on top of the regular rates if you wish to have the service at the convenience of your home.
