PMS Rates for Cars

Last Updated on September 10, 2024 by autopilipinas

In order for you to enjoy more driving days, you need to perform maintenance checks of your vehicle. The price of a car PMS may start from Php 2,760 to Php 5,500 depending on the model and status of the vehicle.

In my research, the shop will usually provide a price list that will include what services are recommended.

For the first year, I had to avail of the PMS packages of my dealer, both Toyota and Suzuki. The PMS price they quoted started from Php 4,200 to Php 5,700.

Toyota PMS Price List

Toyota Express Maintenance for 1 hour is one of the fastest services in the market. I’ve tried this before on a Wigo and true to the promise, it took them well, 1 hour 3 minutes to complete the entire service.

Apart from the number of kilometers driven, dealerships also classify the service package based on the severity of the car’s condition. They offer light, medium and heavy PMS.

My suggestion is you get a price quote from each shop near you to get a better deal. In one of the services I availed from casa, a rag cost me Php 50 which is ridiculous. It is sometimes more practical to simply have your maintenance service from other auto shops.

Shops may offer basic services but others can commit to more advanced car procedures.

Other services may include:

  • Bulb replacement in headlight and brake lights
  • Cabin light replacement
  • Engine wash

Included Services

Depending on the package you selected and the number of kilometers, the following may be included in the service list:

  • Replacement of Engine Oil
  • Replacement of Engine Oil Filter
  • Inspect Steering Wheel
  • Linkage & Gear Box
  • Fill The Injector Cleaner
  • Inspect Brake Pads & Brake Discs
  • Tighten Bolts & Nuts On Chassis & Body
  • Inspect Battery Charge
  • Inspect Brake Pedal and Parking Brake
  • Inspect Ball Joints and Dust Covers
  • Inspect Tire Pressure
  • Inspect Lights
  • Check Horn
  • Check Wipers & Washer
  • Replace Air-conditioner Filter if necessary

Benefits of Regular Check Up

Some of the most evident benefits of car check that I personally experience include:

  • Better fuel efficiency – since all parts are working properly, the fuel can burn better giving you added mileage
  • Early detection of problems – we don’t want costly repairs and a periodic evaluation can prevent that
  • Good running condition – of course, a checked car will run smoothly without problems
  • Comfortable ride – the shock absorbers and tires are checked, giving you a better ride experience

Can I Skip Maintenance?

While it is up to you, no one would recommend skipping regular maintenance check up for cars. You see, this is a very important aspect of owning a vehicle and it gives you the benefit of driving for many years to come.

Toyota indicates that replacing car parts can go a long way to driving your car without problems. With check ups, one can detect parts ready for replacement so the vehicle runs smoothly for a longer time.

Just like you, I also hate expenses. But come to think of it. The more you take care of your ride, the longer you can use it for years to come. Regular maintenance is not only practical, it also teaches you to become a responsible car owner.

You may not have heard about it but gasoline stations are superb when it comes to maintenance service.

For me, I simply follow the instructions in the user’s manual. You can find it in the periodic maintenance section. There is a table and you can find the list of recommended service per month or distance range.

Newly bought units may enjoy free maintenance services for the first 1000 Km or after a month whichever comes first. However, supplies may be charged accordingly. The common supplies include engine oil, oil filter, drain plug washer.

In terms of gas station offers, the price may be lower since they also have available supplies such as fluids and lubricants.

After the warranty of my car has expired, I just have mine done at gas stations. They have a dedicated service bays where you may get a price quote and the service itself. The following have periodic maintenance services depending on location.

If you are a member of any of the service shops, you may get up to 10% discounts. This is subject to the terms and conditions of the shop. Some gas stations also have a rewards card program. You will enjoy discounts on lubes and other consumables.
